For breastfeeding: Express a few tablespoons of breast milk into a sterilized container, add 4 drops of Colief, and give it to your baby with a sterilized, plastic spoon while continuing breastfeeding as normal.
Using Colief with Infant Formula: Prepare the baby's formula according to the manufacturer's instructions, add 4 drops of Colief to warm formula (not hot), shake occasionally, and feed the baby after half an hour at the correct feeding temperature. Discard any unused feed.
If making formula in advance: Prepare the formula carefully, add 2 drops of Colief to warm milk, refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours, use within 12 hours of preparation, warm to feeding temperature, and feed as normal. Discard any unused feed.
If using Ready-to-Feed Formula: Warm the formula, add 4 drops of Colief to warm (not hot) formula, shake occasionally, and feed the baby after half an hour at the correct feeding temperature. Discard any unused feed.
