Do not use on extensive weeping or infected wound unless recommended by your doctor. Wash hands before and after treating the wound. Clean and dry the wound gently before applying the gel.
For minor wounds (e.g.grazes, cuts) and superficial burns carefully apply Savlon Advanced Scar Prevention Gel to the wound (without rubbing) once or twice per day. If necessary, cover the wound with a plaster and change daily.
For open wounds e.g. ulcers.
- Irrigate wound with sterile saline solution to clean wound site
- Keep the nozzle to clear of the wound surface; gently press the tube to dispense gel into the wound. smooth the gel over the surface of wound to a depth of approximately 5mm

- Cover with a secondary dressing of choice e.g. Protectfilm.

Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, Savlon Scar Prevention Gel contains purified water, Propylene glycol:humectant, Carbopol: viscosity enhancer, Cross linked CMC: Hydrocolloid particle that swell upon absorption, Triethanolamine: PH adjuster. While allergic reactions are rare stop using and seek medical help if you experience: difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, tongue or throat, dizziness, skin irritation or rash.
