121 Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy providing NHS pharmaceutical services under contract with NHS England as a Distance Selling Pharmacy.
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, we are regarded as a public authority only in relation to information held in connection with the NHS pharmaceutical services we provide. The Act does not apply to information held solely for our private commercial activities.
We are committed to being open and transparent about our NHS services and aim to make key information readily available through this publication scheme.

Making a Freedom of Information Request

Applicants are not required to explain why they are requesting the information.
How We Handle Requests
We will:
- acknowledge requests where appropriate;
- determine whether the requested information is held within the scope of the Freedom of Information Act 2000;
- respond within 20 working days where required by law;
- provide the information where it is held and no exemption applies; or
- explain why information cannot be disclosed if an exemption applies.
Where the requested information is already publicly available, we will direct you to where it can be accessed.
Information Outside the Scope of FOIA
The Freedom of Information Act applies only to information relating to our NHS pharmaceutical services.
It does not generally apply to information held solely in connection with our private commercial activities, including but not limited to:
- Amazon Marketplace operations
- Website retail sales
- Private healthcare services
- Commercial contracts
- Supplier pricing
- Financial performance
- Business strategy
- Marketing information
Requests for personal information are dealt with under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, not the Freedom of Information Act.
Charges
Most requests will be provided free of charge.
Where permitted by law, a reasonable fee may be charged for particularly large or complex requests. Any applicable charges will be explained before work is undertaken.
